a replicated piece of graffiti on Newcastle Manors car park. the work poses questions of value and motive. The original graffiti was quickly sprayed into the carpark, whereas the tapestry took a large amount of time and dedication, working on it at least 5 hours a day for a month. The medium also holds connotations of tradition and wealth, belonging in the homes of the upper classes. More recently tapestry has gained a kitsch quality, with a personal belief that any image can be kitsch if recreated in tapestry. the object is poking fun and cheekily laughing along with the initial act of defiance. The original text apologises for the act used in its own creation, almost for its own existence. The piece cements that existence and dedicates time and labour towards it.
