The title comes from Phil Collin’s film Ceremony where he goes on to say “...partly because he moved around a lot and lived under pseudonyms and partly because they knock everything down in Manchester to build luxury flats and office blocks”. The work focuses on the phenomenon of architectural kipple - kipple coined by Philip K Dick in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is the useless stuff that accumulates over time that you can’t get rid of “...the entire universe is moving towards a final state of total, absolute kippleization”. Plastic bags are used because they are the ultimate kipple.
